Founded on a shared vision of service and community impact, we bring together experienced healthcare professionals, community leaders and caregivers who are passionate about improving access to care and supporting vulnerable people with excellence, integrity and compassion.
Our story
Two leaders, one vision for Liberia
Aachen Home Care Liberia was founded through a shared vision between Lois A. Harris, Founder and Executive Director of Aachen Home Care USA, and Rev. Dr. Samuel B. Reeves, Jr., President of Aachen Home Care Liberia and Senior Pastor of Providence Baptist Church in Monrovia.
After years of providing quality home and community-based services in the United States, Lois saw the growing need for compassionate home care in Liberia. Through conversations with Dr. Reeves, both leaders imagined an organisation that would bridge healthcare gaps, support families and give vulnerable people the care and dignity they deserve.
Together they established Aachen Home Care Liberia to bring hope, healing and high-quality community-based healthcare to the people of Liberia.

The meaning behind our name
Aachen, Germany, has been known for centuries as a place of healing, wellness and compassionate care.
One of Germany’s oldest and most significant cities, Aachen was renowned for its natural thermal healing springs and its long connection to restoration and community well-being. In the time of Emperor Charlemagne it became a centre of leadership, learning and service. By choosing the name Aachen, we honour that legacy of healing while bringing hope, comfort and quality care to families across Liberia.
